I realize the need to not only care about and discuss these things, but to do and be. It is not enough to value artisan skills and dream of being a weaver. I have to do the hard work associated with the dream. I have to become. I have to support the bread baker, the furniture maker, the potter, the CSA. I have to choose.
My tools are the habits of : Creativity, Discipline and Focus. I strive to learn to wield and master them. My most powerful lens to view the world is Grace. I stive to learn to accept and show it.
I live in South Dakota, and love sharing good food, art, lively discussions, great books and Wendell Berry quotes with my husband, Patrick, our 4 almost grown children.
