Kitchen Curtains in Progress

Curtain on Loom — Linen and Cotton

Right edge of curtains

My curtains are comprised of strips of plain weave with floats, created by the weft, connecting them. The goal is to be free form and light and airy. I am not sequencing the colors, but have found it a great experience to learn to let go; let the curtain be the curtain. Letting the colors flow instead of trying to control everything. Which is rather appropriate since the inspiration for the color scheme and pattern is the idea of a rippling brook and the light dancing on the water as it skips over stones. What an essential lesson as I am learning to trust the process and what feels right.
